Flower Friends

In my last post, I mentioned how I came to love growing cut flowers. I was amazed at the fact that I didn't kill everything I planted. And actually, some of them went on to produce beautiful, healthy blooms. But, I will say that I could not have done any of that without my flower friends. I have a really great friend that has been growing flowers for much longer than I have that shared her amazing insight with me. She also encouraged me to just go for it and try to grow the flowers that I really loved and felt drawn to. She shared her failures and successes so that I could learn from those without having to make the same mistakes. Also, there are a number of flower farms that I follow online. Floret and Gardener's Workshop have some absolutely amazing resources without which I would have surely failed. I am constantly in awe of the generosity of flower farmers both near and far. I completely base any success that I have achieved on their abundant and sharing hearts. This has caused me to always remember that we are better together.
